| Case File 110802: Seaview Hospital
Location: Staten Island, NY
Situated across the street from the Farm Colony, Seaview Hospital first opened it's doors in 1909. It's most famous for being the largest facility of it's kind at the time, as well as being the site in which tuberculosis was cured. The landmark acheivement ironically sealed it's fate, as it's purpose as a sanatorium was not as greatly needed. After the 1950's, one by one, the buildings began to close. The current Seaview Hospital occupies only a small fraction of what it once did, the Greenbelt claiming the rest, buried under years of growth. It was those lost buildings that the SCARED! Crew came to investigate.
Each of the abandoned buildings had it's own history and stories to tell. Rumors of ghostly children and the sick who still roamed the halls elevated this from simple urban exploration to preliminary paranormal investigation. The alleged reports of occult activity added the element of danger to each floor explored.
Reported Activity: echoing voices in the children's ward; shadowy figures seen in the windows of empty buildings; rumored Satanic rituals, involving animal scarifices, in the buidings and the surrounding woodlands.
