Case File 061602: St. Augustine's Acacdemy Location: Staten Island, NY Before there was SCARED! They were "Scared on Staten Island." Everyone has to start somewhere. This is how they started. All The Events are real. All the Danger is real. All the Fear is real. This was their first episode, before they were prepared for the unknown, before they could afford to use scientific detection equipment to hunt for spirits. This was when cameras alone seemed like enough to start the search. Chris's logic: "We'll film all night and take some photographs. If the place is as haunted as everyone claims, we shouldn't need anything else." For years, St. Augustine was surrounded by rumored hauntings; of a dark figure lingering in the bell tower; of disembodied voices calling out in the blackness; of footfalls echoing down empty hallways; of sub-levels that lead several stories underground with cell-like rooms where a monk supposedly went crazy and murdered severval of his brethren; that devil-worship taken place on the grounds of this once holy place. After being closed for over twenty years, the building was in total disrepair. Ceilings were caving in above their heads. Jagged, rusted pipes jutted out from walls waiting to stab them if they weren't careful. Holes in the floors waited to swallow them. The crew wandered the darkness together, then throughout the night the team split up on their own. Each man with a mission to accomplish. Greg sat alone in the bell tower waiting for the mysterious shadow-figure to appear. Brian scoured for the property signs of santantic rituals or other occult activity. Chris traversed through a basement flooded with over three feet of water in search of the elusive sub-levels.
In 2006, the land was sold and the building was torn down. All traces of the former monastery are gone...but will the spirit activity remain?
